Hydrogen Gas In Space

This fantastically dark image shows a column of hydrogen gas and dust in deep space. This photo was taken by the Hubble Space Telescope. Each of the fingers of gas seen protruding from the main cloud are larger than our solar system, which puts the image into perspective. This photo would make a wonderful background on its own or as an incorporation into a background texture collage.

   This is an image of a cloud of golden-brownish hydrogen gas floating in space with a background of a dark sky and stars. The stars are mostly magenta colored, but there are a couple of orange colored stars. There is a blueish fog around the cloud. This bluish fog and the hydrogen cloud cover most of the image. Only the top portion of the image is black and uncovered by neither the cloud nor the fog. The stars vary greatly in size, with some being big (there are about two big stars) and others being just a dot. The biggest star is in the upper left corner of the image. The shape of the brown hydrogen gas cloud is almost like the shape of a glob of liquid being poured from a container. The brown hydrogen cloud is in the lower left portion of the image. The cloud is direcly against the lower portion of the image but not directly against teh left portion of the image; there is a small gap of dark blue fog in between the cloud and the left edge of the image. The hydrogen cloud coveres roughly one quarter of the image. The hydrogen cloud is brightest in the center of the image, and it appears that the light source is coming from somewhere that would be in the upper right portion of the image, shining towards the center of the image.
