It shows two policemen standing amid a ray of light from a tall window. The light in the room is accentuated by dust in the air. This scene is shot in the foyer of Union Station in Chicago, Illinois.

The picture looks like there is some function going on. The rays of light are coming from the big window on the top. There are two police man standing under the light. The hall in which they are standing looks very big. The people present there seems to be english persons. There is also some notice board present which is on the backside of the police men. Also there is a man standing right side of the board. He also looks like a policeman as he is having hat on his head. To the left side of the board there are some sofa sets. Ladies are sitting on it and having a chat. A man is going in front of these women and watching them. There are also some small windows present down to the big windows. Since the rays of light is falling on the two police men it looks like a very sunny day. There are some steps behind the women sitting and the man might be going through those steps. The meeting might be very official one otherwise the policemen will not come to other casual meetings. The two policemen are standing under the rays of light coming from one window. But there are persons standing under the rays of light coming from other windows. Totally there are three windows present.

The military men give off a feeling of authority while the onlookers in the background may be intimidated or scared.

Soldiers or police officers stand in a dark alley during a secret conversation. Streams of light pour in the decorative window. Dust in the air accentuates the effect of the incoming sunlight. Onlookers patiently wait for other or for a train on a bench while the men complete their discussion. The military or public service men give off a feeling of authority while the onlookers in the background may be intimidated or scared. Antique cars wait in the background for their passengers. There is an advertising sign in the left of the picture. Ladies and business men wait on the bench in the background. The picture gives a feeling of anxiety but also a feeling of nostalgia and longing for the past. The contrast between the incoming light and the surrounding darkness shows the ongoing battles between good and bad: the feelings of fear and apprehension are correlated with dark and the good feelings of nostalgia are associated with light. There are lit store signs in the background that are completely illegible, but one would imagine that they are places within a train station like snack shops, gift shops, restaurants, banks, and ticket stations. There are three average windows behind the two men and three large decorated windows that sit above all the people.
