Cool vintage sports image of University of Kansas shot putter.

This great public domain photograph is from the Farm Security Administration/Office of War Information Color Photographs Collection in the Library of Congress.

Another fabulous photo from the FSA color collection, this time capturing a University of Kansas student in the track and field program. The student is participating in the shot put. Overall the image is in focus, but there is some motion blur around his arms and head.

This public domain image has a cool vintage feel that would work well into many forms of media. Check out our sports category for a mix of vintage sports images.

This photo was taken by John Vachon, who was working as an agent of the United States government. Because this image was taken by an employee of the federal government, it is in the public domain.

42 megabyte TIFF. Hosted at the Library of Congress.
